So these guys loved to talk about what they do...which I guess is pretty cool cause it shows that they really love what they are doing. I hope I get (am) like that ;)
They mentioned how neither of them really knew how to use protools or how to mix their recordings and whatnot, BUT they learned. It took some trial and error, but they've gotten pretty good at it. I would really like to learn how to use protools and how to mix better, but I feel like I won't be able to learn a lot, but it just takes time and effort. Eventually, you will get better...you just have to do.
Another thing that was sweet for me to hear is that they are always looking for studio/session singers/players. YAY for me!! I acutally already know someone in their industry whom I've worked with before (not on a money makin deal yet, but hopefulyl soon) so I knew a little about what they were talking about, but hearing that they'll pretty much just take anyone that comes in with a resume and CD (and is good) that they'll consider using them on a project. Thats awesome. I know I would never want to try to make a living off this because it's not a very stable industry, but its definitely something that I would love to do for a little extra money. Especially if they let me get a little creative with the melody or what they want me to sing. thats sweet. thats any singers/writers dream :) Very cool stuff.
I will probably license my music with them...once I have something to give them :) they have some sweet names that they represent. very sweet.
