4.21.09 - $$$

$$$

Damon Schuler came into class a few weeks ago to talk about musician's money/tax information. A lot of the things he said were completely over my head. I had no idea what he was talking about most of the time. I have never really worried about my tax information because my dad has always done my taxes and just recently his company's accountant has been worrying about all our taxes and doing all that we would need to do for that. But the whole thing about saving receipts, keeping a driving/mileage log and whatever else was good to hear. To know that I can start doing that stuff now because I am my own company, esentially, and I need to do these things to keep me in the habit of doing it for the rest of my life (yikes!).

The whole thing about the LLC was good to hear too. I took Music Economics with Dave Olson last semester and have already forgot about some of the stuff that he talked about, including incorporating yourself to save your personal ass(ets). Lots of information...kind of a lot to chew on, but the taste will linger long enough to keep my mind goin/thinking about this important stuff.

That's all for now...until 10 mins from now when I finish my Danny/Brian blog :)
